There was no respite for logistics firms on U.S.-inbound shipping lanes in May, with growth in containerized imports of 47.1% year over year and 18.3% when compared to May 2019. Shipments averaged 97,100 TEUs per day, second only to April’s 97,700 TEUs and compares to the 2020 peak season average of 91,460 TEUs.
